Dong Cao catchment

Dong Cao is located in Northern Vietnam, Hanoi Province, and is divided into 2 nested sub-catchments (total 49 ha), on schist soils. Slope gradient is 20-60%, and rainfall is about 1500 mm per year.

Land use change: switch from cassava + maize to natural regrowth vegetation + few tree plantations + feeding stuffs and village encroachment.
