Tripti MUGULI is visiting GET for greenhouse gases characterization
Tripti MUGULI (DST-INSPIRE Faculty at National Centre for Earth Science Studies, Thiruvananthapuram, India) is visiting the laboratory Géosciences Environnement Toulouse since October 4th until December 21st, 2018, within the ANR-ATCHA project. She previously worked as a SERB-DST National PDF (2017-2018) on the research project ‘Carbon and nitrogen gaseous emissions from irrigated agriculture: Kabini Critical Zone Observatory’ under the supervision of Dr Muddu SEKHAR, Dr Jean RIOTTE, and Dr Laurent RUIZ, at Indo-French Cell for Water Sciences, Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. At GET, she is working with Gas Chromatograph to characterize the greenhouse gases monitored in the Berambadi agricultural watershed, under the supervision of Dr Frederic GUERIN and Dr Dominique SERÇA, and models the observed results to determine the major controlling processes with Dr Claire DELON. This collaborative work will lead to a better understanding of the control of groundwater irrigation on greenhouse gases and their global warming potential.
