Main fields of research and expertise

Inpeng SAVENG is a technical staff in the Department of Land Administration and Management (DLAM). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences from the National University of Laos and a Master of Science from Kyushu University, Japan. After completing her Master’s degree, she worked as a project assistant, coordinating collaboration between DLAM and IRD. Since 2023, she has been awarded a scholarship from IRD-ARTS and Campus France–French Embassy in Lao PDR within the framework of the M-TROPICS Critical Zone Observatory and the ANR DinBuam project. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at GET Geosciences Environment Toulouse, University of Toulouse, France, where her research focuses on characterizing the role of headwater wetlands as key determinants of fecal pathogenic bacteria transfer in tropical mountain streams of the Mekong Basin.
